The “Learning Programme for Youth Theatre” in “Creative Playground – Danny Yung Experimental Theatre” is an elementary programme on the basics of experimental theatre specially designed for local young people aged 16-25, using the creative concept of Danny Yung, the pioneer of Chinese experimental arts, as blueprint, with the aim of training local artistic talents.

Creative Courses

• Creative Lectures of Danny Yung Experimental Theatre

Date: 11 to 13 October
Time: 14:00-16:00
Venue: Multimedia Theatre of HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity
Open to public; Free admission

• Nanjing Study Tour-Toki Arts Week, A Creative Exchange Programme on Asian Traditional Performing Arts

Date: 31 October to 13 November
Place: Nanjing
Criteria for Participation:
- only trainees of Creative Playground are eligible
- trainees must attend Creative Letures of Danny Yung Experimental Theatre
- trainees must attend "workshops / study tour briefings"
Fee: Trainees will receive full funding for this tour

• Basic Courses on Creativity

 The design of the curriculum of "The Basics of Creativity" is by a group of experienced artists, and there are three topics in the cross-over theatre creation for exploration: 1) Body and sounds 2) Text and images #) Space and technology

Dates: 14 to 30 November
Time: 19:00-22:00 (Mon to Fri)
Time: 14:00-18:00 and 19:00-22:00 (Sat and Sun)
Venue: Dance Stuio of HKICC Lee Shau Kee School of Creativity
Criteria for Participation:
- only trainees of Creative Playground are eligible
- trainees must attend Creative Lectures of Danny Yung Experimental Theatre
- trainees must complete the "Nanjing Study Tour"
Fee: trainees will receive full funding for this course

• Performance of "One Table, Two Chairs"

Creation and Rehearsals
Dates: 1 to 8 December
Time: 19:00-22:00 (Mon to Fri)
Time: 14:00-18:00 and 19:00-22:00 (Sat and Sun)
