A whole week dedicated to the latest development in Kunqu showcases various kinds of Kunqu performances (from traditional to ueber contemporary),workshops and talks in the Shanghai Grand Theater.


The best-loved Zhang Jun, aka Prince of Kunqu, works with theater maestro Danny Yung on a short piece Making Dreams meant to be enticing as well as thought-provoking. The other three pieces packed in the same program are: Descendants of the Eunuch Admiral created by Singapore most-sought-after young director Liu Xiaoyi, and Scattering Flowers by the two full of vigor Kunqu performers Yang Yang and Zhao Zhiwei.

    Zuni presents the Cattle Depot Open House Scheme in collaboration with On & On Theatre Workshop. The Scheme makes the Zuni’s multi-purpose space at Cattle Depot Artist Village available for application for various local art groups and independent arts practitioners for in-house rehearsal.
