"XXX" is a video show loosely based on the letter "X" and the number "3". The show exhibits 3 different video tapes through 3 video monitors. The viewers are divided into 3 groups and each group can see only one monitor at a time but they are encouraged to move about the space. Each video film is 1 hour long and it is shot in an 8 hour period and the film is shown in the actual shooting sequence without editing (or better say it is pre-edited or camera-edited). Each shooting session is done in a limited space, 2 interiors and 1exterior. Emphasis is put in the sequential appearance of the following sets of elements, viz：close up, medium shot and wide shot; still and pan; colour variation from red to blue. The films are about the elements of life：the senses, thought, dreams, emotions etc; and they are punctuated by the characteristics of the video system, e.g. random signal, test signal, interference etc.
